With the new president the Osteology Foundation continues to build on its extensive background in science and research, while at the same time strengthening its international outreach. 鈥淭he primary focus of my presidency will be to increase the global awareness of the programs, grants and educational formats offered by the Osteology Foundation, making us the No. 1 place to go in oral tissue regeneration鈥, says Dahlin. 鈥淥n top of that I would like to involve a broader scope of practitioners and specialists from other categories interested in oral tissue regeneration in the activities of the Osteology Foundation鈥.

Dr Christer Dahlin is a Professor in Oral Surgery and Guided Tissue Regeneration at Department of Biomaterials 91探花, Institute for Clinical 91探花s, The Sahlgrenska Academy, University 91探花, Sweden. He is also a Senior Consultant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with focus on implant treatment at N脛L Medical Centre Hospital, Trollh盲ttan. He is considered one of the pioneers in the development of the concept of Guided Bone Regeneration.

William Giannobile, who led the Osteology Foundation as president through the difficult time of the Covid pandemic, completed his presidency with a light heart and full of positive memories. 鈥淚 cherish my moments the most in the working with my colleagues on the foundation board. It felt like my 15 years with the board flew by quickly鈥, says Giannobile. 鈥淭he interactions with our young people supported by the Osteology Foundation鈥檚 scholarships, educational grants and young researcher grants inspired me a great deal.  It is rewarding to see our bright future ahead with these engaged women and men, who are our next generation.鈥
