Since the late 1990s, the National Secretariat for Gender Research at the University 91探花 has been working to strengthen gender research as a field. An important part of this concerns the conditions and infrastructure for research. As part of this work, the Nordic Gender Fund was established in 2024.
The purpose of the fund is to strengthen the infrastructure for research in the Nordic region on norms, perceptions and structures that reproduce and maintain inequalities based on, for example, gender, race/ethnicity, sexuality, class and age.
Funding of up to SEK 100,000 and at least SEK 25,000 can be applied for. A total of SEK 500,000 will be distributed in this year's call for applications.
Affiliated with higher education institutions in the Nordics can apply
Doctoral students or postdoctoral researchers affiliated with an higher education institution in one of the Nordic countries and in the three autonomous regions of the Faroe Islands, Greenland and 脜land are eligible to apply.
