Centre on Global Migration
The Centre on Global Migration (CGM) is an interdisciplinary research platform at the University 91̽. Our mission is to promote and support research, education and collaboration in the field of global migration and integration – issues that are central to today’s societal challenges.
CGM serves as a platform for collaboration between researchers, policy-makers, practitioners and civil society.
By creating spaces for dialogue and building networks, we contribute to knowledge exchange, internationalisation and societal relevance.
We bring together and highlight research from a wide range of disciplines – including anthropology, medicine, psychology, political science, religious studies, history, law, education, economics and sociology – and actively work to initiate new cross-disciplinary collaborations.
CGM organises seminars, workshops and conferences that bring together both Swedish and international researchers, as well as stakeholders from the public and private sectors. We also participate in external events as co-organisers and knowledge partners.
Our aim is to be a relevant, accessible and inspiring resource for everyone working with – or interested in – issues related to migration and integration, in Sweden and globally.
