About Ingrid Wernstedt Asterholm

Our overall research aim is to study the association between obesity and increased risk of metabolic disease and cancer.

In particular, we examine whether and how adipocyte functionality play a role for immunological regulation, whole-body metabolism as well as tumor progression.
